About Fin Lit For Life
Cindy Zerr Lowe
Cindy has spent her entire career educating others in business education, specializing in Financial Literacy. Cindy graduated from Edwards School of Business at the U of S in 1996 with a finance degree and began her career as a financial advisor with RBC. Selling investments and giving financial advice appealed to her love of economics and the thrill of the stock market. She soon realized, that many clients lacked an understanding of financial concepts, and she frequently found herself in a teaching role. This experience inspired her to transition into business education.
Since then, she has taught Finance and Accounting at both the college and high school levels and has coached many student teams in provincial business competitions across Western Canada since 2006. She has collaborated with the Ministry of Education to develop financial literacy curricula for Grades 10–12. Cindy was the President of the Business Teachers Association in Saskatchewan for 7 years and a strong advocate for a mandatory financial literacy credit for graduation, which was announced in Saskatchewan November 2023.
Over the years, Cindy has led numerous financial literacy workshops, developed financial education resources, and worked extensively to support both educators and students across Saskatchewan in growing business knowledge & abilities.
With over 20 years of leadership in business education, she continues to share her passion for helping others build a strong foundation for future success, delivering keynote speeches and presentations to diverse groups, including university audiences, athletes, newcomer Canadians, retired teachers, adult learners and low-income families.
